Kalam Foundation is currently seeking a proactive and creative Student Journalist Intern to join our team. This is an exceptional opportunity for budding journalists to gain hands-on experience, and receive a certification.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in creating engaging and accurate news articles, blog posts, and feature stories.
  • Conduct thorough research on various topics to support content creation.
  • Please support our team in managing social media platforms and developing strategies for audience engagement.
  • Collaborate with the editorial team to brainstorm ideas and contribute to content planning.
  • Conduct interviews, and gather information for stories.
  • Proofread and edit content to ensure it meets our standards.
  • Adhere to journalistic ethics and standards while performing duties.

As a Student Journalist Intern, you’ll be able to build your portfolio and gain practical experience. Successful interns will receive a certification after successful completion.

Please note: This is an unpaid internship, but certification are provided upon successful completion. The duration and weekly time commitment of the internship can be adjusted to fit the requirements of your academic program.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s program in Journalism, Communications, English, or a related field.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with an understanding of journalistic ethics and libel laws.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms and understanding of engagement strategies.
  • Excellent research and fact-checking skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to conduct interviews.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with content management systems and SEO principles is a plus.
