About Meri Panchayat

Meri Panchayat is an initiative of the Kalam Foundation in association with the Social Empowerment Society (SES). The objective is to build a platform that can provide an all-around developmental consultancy service to the Panchayats in India. It has been observed and well-identified that despite having the intentions to work for the development of the village and its people, many panchayat bodies are not able to achieve their goals due to the lack of a strong understanding of project management and skills related to change management.

With the goal to reach out to every Panchayat in the country and provide quality customised developmental consultancy, Meri Panchayat is going to launch its pilot phase this year in the five village panchayats namely, Ramudiha, Basdila Rausad, Kaithwalya, Barsaini & Hemdhapur of the Pipraich Block of Gorakhpur district.

The Pilot Phase:

For the pilot phase we have partnered with the UPES University, Dehradun, Sabal Rehab Foundation & Ramudiha Panchyat. There will be 4 major portions in the pilot phase that will be implemented in the above-mentioned villages. Our broader focus will be to develop a sustainable and efficient development plan for the villages after conducting a need analysis survey of the villages.

Our focus will be confined to the Key Performance Indicators identified by the NITI Aayog that contribute toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG-1 to 4, 6 & 8). We have identified as many as 22 KPIs to work on in the pilot phase.  Download PPT
